Chihuly Collaboration 2016
I’m honored to be part of this celebration of Dale Chihuly’s 75th birthday! It’s a 6" vanilla cake with raspberry cream cheese filling that was covered in Satin Ice fondant. It sat on an 8" dummy base, also covered in Satin Ice fondant. All other decorations were made using Simi Isomalt and Cake Play Isomalt. My design was inspired mainly by Dale Chihuly’s ‘Red Reeds’ and ‘Silvered Venetian with Tansy and Oxblood Flowers’. This is my first glow-in-the-dark cake!
