I had the opportunity to participate in the Polka Dots Cake Academy Caker Buddies Collaboration.
It was a great learning experience considering the 100% humid weather in Mumbai at that time.
My choice for the SITCOMS Collaboration is THE SIMPSONS … simply cause I love the humor n the madness .
Creating this piece of edible art was my most ambitious work yet , teaming my two all time favs … The Simpsons and Lego ! What could be more amazing than bringing out the essence of The Simpsons in the form of a Lego Simpsons House ?
The house measures L19" × W 15" and stands 21" tall . The amount of sugar paste I rolled out was insane , but loved creating every tiny detail right from the iconic doughnut in Homer’s hand to the brown couch to the Piano , and my first time with creating figurines …. there were times when I totally wanted to give up as the Mumbai humidity played havoc on the sugar paste and gumpaste, but somehow persevered . I do hope you all feel I have done justice to the task I took up .
