The last couple of weeks the D-licious Cake Art kitchen has been busy preparing to produce an epic Halloween themed cake for my cousins 18th birthday bash!
Starting from the bottom – embossed brick patterned board in shades of purple, complete with a tree made from floral wire and gumpaste, the bottom tier was styrafoam, wrapped in an edible image supplied by Zahari, followed by purple and black stripes decorated with genuine swarovski crystals titled ‘Eighteen’, couldn’t resist creating a 3D pumpkin, then back to elegance with the billowed fondant technique with more genuine swarovski crystals, angel wings (as the birthday girl was going dressed as a dark angel) made from rice paper, the pillars were covered in black glitter, adorned with a black cauldron complete with a custom designed cake topper! All of which made it’s way safely to Cuballing!
Thank you Jenny and Tiffany for giving me the opportunity and free reign on the design! xx
