Absolutely loved the end result of this beautiful 4 tiered hexagon Winter Wonderland
Each of the front display Snowflakes was hand cut from sugar paste. As I didn’t have a stencil or cutter I just drew up a few and cut them out in various sizes. And the glitzed them up with some edible glitters.
I added some LEDs that I picked up at a Xmas supply store. The kind you use as table displays as they have little battery packs. One string of blue and one of cool white. Attached the LEDs up the front with covered floral wire bent into little hairpins and then attached the Snowflakes in front of them in layers with royal icing. I cut out a 21 and J from the same paste and glittered that in silver to stand out a bit more.
The effect in the daylight was gorgeous soft and elegant. But the finished effect was the night time shot where the LEDs effect popped and the cake looked spectacular.
They asked for a show stopper and I think I delivered just that. They were thrilled beyond with it.
