There are many species of tiger that are on the IUCN endangered list, including the Sumatran Tiger which is critically endangered. There is considered to be approximately only 400 left in the wild. The main cause of the reduction in their numbers is due to loss of their habitat, as a result of deforestation due to unsustainable, and sometimes illegal, Palm Oil plantations.
