Star Wars cake for my second cousin.
My best attempt at a very quick R2D2 cake. Red velvet and chocolate ganache, covered in home made fondant.
I went with red velvet because I like the taste, but for this kind of cake I needed a cake with more structural integrity. The finish is rougher than I wanted due to the cake being too light and squishy, and it needed better planning and a better internal support system. It was fairly short notice and I didn’t leave myself a lot of time to complete it, but it worked out okay.
