Had to do a couple of redesign before getting this final look for Riley’s Cake. Going into the details of the cake. I was a little nervous making Captain hook. I definitely thought that he was going to be a challenge but I really did enjoy making him. Jake on the other hand was the bigger challenge to me…I dont think he looks exactly like Jake but my son saw mommy’s birthday cake (thats what he calls it) and said look it’s jake. So i guess i passed the test. Bottom tier is Chocolate Banana Cake filled with Chocolate frosting, covered in ganache and fondant. Top tier is actually the twist. Initially not planned to have a 2nd tier but I felt that the cake needed more dimension so i just added the square dummy covered in gumpaste. :)

It’s fantastic. All of it. The modeling, the planks, the waves, the number 2 is brilliant, just the entire design is really beautiful. p.s. I like your watermark. ;)
Exactly, looks great!
