Whoa… long time no post. (How’d that happen?!)

At any rate… I sooooo love “drip” cakes because there are so many things that can be done with and to them. This cake was actually inspired by the sprinkles that adorn it. So in case you were wondering (or this is the answer to “Final Jeopardy”) which came first, the sprinkles or the drip, it was totally the sprinkles. _ As soon as I saw this mix from Sweetapolita, I knew I had to make a graduation cake highlighting it’s beauty. I feel like I’m gravitating more toward cakes that could possibly be described as elegant but I also wanted it to have a little edge to it; some fun, funk, and whimsy, if you will. I’m pleased as punch with the final product and pretty ecstatic that this came out pretty much exactly how I envisioned it.
