The Charity wanted a Vintage feel to the cake to go with the boutique styling of the new shop. The frame was made out of pastillage using Karen Davies bead moulds and Katy Sue corner moulds for the embellishments. Acetate was used to give the appearance of a glass front to the image. The beads around the base of the cake were made using the Marvelous Moulds bead mould. The Roses were made using the easiest Rose cutter. For the strung beads I used another bead mould to get fully rounded pearls and threaded them onto some fine wire.

I have a very special love for the people at the Thames Valley Hospice… They looked after my now deceased close friend who was cared for there… Wonderful team and love the tranquility of the beautiful gardens.
This is SO beautiful Suzanne!! I bet they loved it
