This is a cake I designed n decorated based on an outfit designed by Manish Arora for the Polka Dots Cake Academy’s Fashion Inspiration Collaboration.
Manish Arora is famously known as the Joan Galiano of the Indian fashion scene, known for his use of psychedelic colours, kitch designs n traditional Indian embroidery n appliqué n bead work.
I chose this amazing vermillion n pink outfit cause I absolutely fell in love with his beautiful signature skull purse, which I sculpted using rice krispies. I loved doing the pink drape and incorporating the amazing gold embroidery of the Cape on the lower tier of the cake . As much as I enjoyed creating this designer outfit in cake form , I hope I have done justice to this awesome creation by Manish Arora n I hope you all like it :)
