Today, 23rd March 2016 sees the 111th anniversary of the death of Jules Verne. My stack of books cake was my entry for this weekend’s Cake International where it was awarded a certificate of merit. On the bottom we have ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’ with lava pouring out, The middle book is ‘20,000 Leagues Under the Sea’ complete either tentacles and on top is ‘Around the World in 80 Days’. There is actually no hot air balloon in Around the world but I used artistic licence like the movies
