This was a cake I made for Cake Cymru 2016. It was in the novelty category and is all edible being made from cake and Rice Krispies! It won a Gold and Best In Class!

The cake was hand carved Madeira with the trunk and legs being made from Rice Krispies. The ears were made from thinly rolled Pastillage attached with royal icing. The cake was textured using a wheel tool then airbrushed and finished with dust colours to add depth and shading! The mouth and eyes were finished off with piping gel and the “sand” was crushed digestive biscuit :-D
