The inspiration for this cake was three-fold; the lustred top tier hints at bridal silk fabric; in the middle tier, romantic roses hand painted directly onto the chocolate ganache are reminiscent of the bridal bouquet; lastly, the antique edible parchment ruffles on the bottom tier represent the marriage certificate but also look forward to the couple’s first anniversary which is, of course, paper.
