Turning 40 and this man’s motor bike was his pride and joy…. so I was asked if I could replicate it for him. Lots of research on the internet, and scale model shots… not to mention some sneaky shots taken by his wife… meant I had a pretty good idea of what this Kawasaki Mean Streak looked like… with some (OK lots) of assistance from hubby who explained what exactly all the little bits did – seriously who knew a motor cycle had so many bits and bobs – the end result was a hand made fondant motor cycle topper. The handlebars are made from flower wire bent and soldered to shape and then covered with sugar paste.. some toothpicks strategically placed meant that the topper wasn’t for eating.. the cake itself was carved into the tyre shape and the tread pattern also matched the front wheel of his bike…
great job
