My latest cake design for my portfolio. This was fun, because I based it on a painting I saw in a Japanese restaurant. Took over a month to get just what I wanted, and the colors match the 2016 Pantone colors of the year to boot! Fondant, edible water color, royal icing, and hand colored wafer paper blossoms. Top tier is Rolkem Bronze, over painted with orchid pink dust. Ribbon on board was painted to match top, with scattered wafer paper scraps.
