Opera inspiration for cake decorating
Giuseppe Verdi’s “La Traviata” is based on Alexandre Dumas famous novel “The Lady of the Camelias” and is a narrative of the love of courtesan Violetta Valéry for the spawn of a well-to-do Parisian family. The affair brings about the reaction of the young man’s family; the couple parts, only to meet again just before Violetta perishes. It is an undeniable masterwork of the international repertoire.
The decoration of the cake is inspired by the female figurine of “La Traviata” and combines fashion elements and textures such as edible lace for La Traviata’s gown and of course some sugar camellias made out of gumpaste.
