Chinese new year is coming up and it was time to make something special to celebrate it! The lion body and head, also the ball underneath are sculpted from 100% chocolate cake (Buche de Noel), covered and decorated in modeling chocolate. Legs molded from rice Krispies and modeling chocolate.
This is my first cake with such a complex structure, was trying to avoid the hardware stores, however realized without going this way I wont grow in my techniques any more… Absolutely happy with the results, and cant wait now to make another crazy cake!
