This recipe follows a traditional “boiled” cake method. Recipe from Nigella Lawson. I try to avoid fondant for my Xmas cakes and stick to tradition with either marzipan with royal icing or plain ol’ confectioner’s sugar. I don’t have a poinsettia cutter so I used a normal leaf cutter and veiner -my version of a fantasy poinsettia 😋
