This was a super-quick thank-you cake I did for a friend/professional photographer whose taken a few pics of my cakes for magazine work that I do. He and his wife have a young family and are super-busy building their photography business together and running a family with four great kids. Well I didn’t quite get to do what I wanted as severely time-pressed. Snowman is fruitcake and done in half a day. All sugar decorated. The base is Boozy rich dark moist fruit cake, marzipan and Royal iced and airbrushed texture with piped snow. Two days!!! Madness, s fruit cakes and royal icing really require the dedicated days to dry… but I had SO much fun to make something cute. What I didn’t expect was tears from her as she loved it…Awwww, I was really touched.
I’m away now with family/friends Christmassy festivities, and looking forwards to some time out from cakes as been a rather eventful year.. All good … So please, all of you… Have an awesome festive season!!! All the best for 2016!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉☃☃☃
