My niece wanted ‘rainbows and unicorns’ for her 11th birthday cake. This is what she got!
The body is chocolate cake and icing, covered with white fondant. The head is supported with wire (wire wrapped in saran wrap and modeling chocolate for food safety), and is made of rice krispie treats covered with modeling chocolate, including all the hair. The unicorn corn, ears and lettering is gumpaste. Brush painted details on with edible paint. The board is 17 × 22. (Cake turned out larger than planned! lol But she loved it!)
