Hi! I’m Kareena from Magic Sprinkles Cakes and Cookies. I’m from Mumbai in India and this cake is a tribute to our Indian wedding traditions.

I have always been a traditional girl at heart. My dream was always to wear gold jewelry and a red saree when I got married, and that is exactly what I did. No wedding mandap is complete without marigolds or genda phool. The cake I have made is called ‘The Indian Bride’. She is so beautiful and Indian wearing the colours of red, gold and white like a princess. One layer she is adorned with shiny golden sequins. The other tier represents her red and gold saree with traditional zari borders. The center tier shows us her jewelery: gold, emerald and pearls. Her jhumkas are made of edible emeralds and pearls. Continuing this style, she is adorned with a lot of modern bling and traditional dazzle. The last tier is a golden ball complete with orange, red and yellow marigolds. Marigolds represent passion and creativity. I’m a really passionate person and I’m finding my creative side in my cake journey. I feel truly blessed making this cake and feel a part of me is in it.
