This was inspired by an outfit from the 2015/16 winter haute couture collection by Karl Lagerfield of Chanel. The quilting of her jacket was reversed on this cake, and I have added silver embellishments throughout.
The pineapples help bring in that southern flair and complement well the texture of the “quilting” of the other 2 tiers.
This was a 12", 9", 6" each 6 inches tall, a 3" to 4" tall collar of gumpaste and dragees with a black fondant tie, and topped with a 4" by 4" tall top tier. Total height was about 26 inches.
