I love the 1950’s and 60’s vintage images and wondered how I could incorporate them onto a cake. So I hand painted my 4 panels of dried petal and I’m really pleased with the results. I thought about adding a bow to the top of the cake but it really didn’t go. Instead, I drew inspiration from one of the panels and modelled the three baubles.

The only aspect of my painting that my husband doesn’t like, is the fact that I used his Bombay Sapphire Gin as my painting medium! 😀
