A 50th Anniversary cake, gold and chocolate collars and flowers.
Top tier 6" tall and 6" wide, Butter Vanilla cake with Salted butter caramel buttercream filling, completely ganached, and hand-piped chocolate collar, lustred.
Lower tier 7" tall and 8" wide, Chocolate mocha truffle cake, ganached and covered with melted chocolate using a palette knife, and lustred in gold, bronze and amber metallics. Hand-piped Chocolate collars.
Topper : Hand-piped Chocolate number 50, lustred.
Wafer paper flowers with modelling chocolate centres & wafer paper leaves.
This is the tallest cake I’ve made, and I was so worried about stability. Thank God for ganache :-)
The cake was assembled and shot on site, not the best of lighting available, and not the best of angles unfortunately…:-(
