“And they danced their shoes to pieces…”

The story of the Twelve Dancing Princesses has always been one of my favourite Brothers Grimm fairy tales and this is my contribution to the Grimms Fairy Tales Collcaboration. The inspiration for this cake came from the shoes worn out through dancing each night and the walk through the secret forest to dance with their princes.

The cake is covered in Ice Wise sugarpaste, stencilled in royal icing and 24 little shoes!
