Happy Thanksgiving, everyone… This is my first attempt at making a turkey – EVER!!! I used RKT to make the figure and covered it with fondant. The other decorations (leaves, flowers and pilgrims) were made out of gumpaste. The actual cake is three-tiers – two of which are covered in chocolate fondant. This is a white Almond sour cream cake infused with an Amaretto simple syrup and a buttercream hazelnut filling. I baked cupcakes with the leftover batter and it was delicious (had to be sure – LOL).
