I loved making this cake and especially adding the little details. Unbelievably it wall went to plan and there were no major mishaps! It was a very special cake, made for a launch party held to celebrate the publication of my husband’s first book. In it, one of the main characters finds out she has inherited a Cotswold cottage – all lovely, but she has no idea why or from whom … And the story takes off from there, which more than a little mystery and intrigue thrown in.
