This cake was presented to the 1st Central New York Cake decorating competition back in 2009, it won the first prize in the adult open category. The theme that year was fall harvest. The cake was covered and decorated with fondant, topper also in fondant. The flower wreath is made out of fondant that I passed through the noodle attachment of my pasta machine. The flowers are gum paste and gelatin and all handmade, I used peony, calla lily, sunflower, chrysanthemum, tiger lily, silver dollars and berries, plus a bunch of fall leaves.
