My contribution to the Sugar Skull Bakers collaboration for Day of the Dead 2015. A beautiful tradition of honoring those who have died. I immediately wanted to make a horse in honor of one of my childhood best friends Mary. I changed her coloring in order to accommodate the decoration. Made with fondant and royal icing brushed to resemble fur, mane & hoof fur done by hand, edible marker and painted designs.
