I have been involved in a rather special project:
50 years ago my mother, Teressa and her two friends, Pat and Leticia bunked off school to queue for tickets to see Cliff Richard in Glasgow, risking expulsion. This was the first step in a journey that resulted in a mention in the papers at the time and they got to meet Cliff. In total they met him 3 times and on one of these occasions they presented him with a cake.

They are all going to his 75th birthday concert in Glasgow together, coming from England, France and Australia, and they hope to get to meet him again.
Cue this cake creation, it is for his 75th birthday, in hope that he will sign it and let it be auctioned off by The Beatson Cancer Hospital/Charity in Glasgow, a hospital that does such amazing work, most recently with Anne Goodwin, my late Aunt. All three of them have been touched by cancer, either personally or immediate family, so this is poignant.
The three of them have commissioned this cake to reflect Cliff’s loves and life, so the film strip has charity photos, copies of platinum disks, him at his amazing vineyard….you get the idea.
The entirely modelling chocolate Bus is an almost exact replica of the one from the film “Summer Holiday” and the house and gate are his estate in Portugal, and the vineyard is nestled in there too.

The Top tier is a dummy cake that can be kept by the winner.

Oh, and as an aside this is a chocolate fudge cake to die for that will feed 35-40 people, it has been very much a labour of love, and at 23 creative hours it would have to be……
I hope you enjoy it in every way and I would love you to please share this to increase the profile of the auction.
