I made this cake this week for my lovely daughter’s 19th birthday. I wanted to do something different and boy, was this cake a challenge. I had seen a dress with a poppy print which I loved and wanted to try an interpretation of it in cake. I really struggled with some elements and hated it at times! The flowers and the model were the things I found easiest and overall I was reasonably satisfied – although I always focus on the flaws!!
