I made this cake a couple of weeks ago for a lovely couple who managed to organise their wedding in just six short weeks! We exchanged just two emails and one brief phone call only, to come up with this. The bride wanted pastel pink and yellow roses with an overall vintage look and feel to tie in with their theme. Four tiers from the bottom up of vanilla, chocolate, salted caramel and lemon.
She left me THE most beautiful review which I’d like to share:
“Angela I can’t express how much we loved the cake – but I’ll try anyway. I showed you a photo of a cake and asked you to do something similar. Your cake made the original look like a poor relation. Your flowers were unbelievable and the flavours and texture of the sponges were truly delicious. On the day we cut up the bottom tier and there wasn’t a scrap left, not even a blob of icing on a plate, anywhere. I wanted something classy and elegant with colours that would tie in with our decorations and you gave us that in spades. Honestly words are not enough, I actually had quite an emotional response when I saw it. Thank you so much, I don’t mean to sound gushy but it was the best cake I’ve ever seen, anywhere, and it was for me!”
Had me reaching for my tissues she did!! ;)
