This cake went to my daughter’s school this morning. My daughter’s birthday falls on the 18th of this month. Yay! She turns three this year grin emoticon However starting tomorrow, due to Ganesh Chaturthi, she will have a five day holiday in school. So we decided to celebrate her birthday in school today.

She is very particular about her food though. If it isn’t beautiful, or visually appealing, she just won’t eat it. I love it, because it challenges me to do better than I think I can

However I was tired of making the usual flowers and foliage on my cakes. So for the first time, I made the yellow ginger-lilies and the green dischidia vines on the cake. They were super fun and super quick to make, and I love the gorgeousness quotient they added to the cake itself!
