Little Royalty

Li’l Saba (Saesha) celebrated her 5th birthday in style! This little kid is very stylish to begin with. She knew exactly what she wanted in her cake, and exactly how her cake was going to be. She wants to grow her hair out like Rapunzel, and being her favorite princess, she obviously wanted Rapunzel on her cake.

But not one to leave out her cousins and her new kid brother, she wanted to include them on the cake as well. So Rapunzel became Rapunzel-Saba, Merida was Merida-Sana, Sofia was Sofia-Sara and the little boy was Prince Saif!

I found it amazingly cute, that at this young age, this girl has so much maturity and understanding!

Inside, the cake was rainbow pinata cake with cream cheese filling and dark chocolate ganache frosting. This is the second time I have made a Rainbow Pinata cake, because it is so much fun! A whole column of gems in the center of the cake, which come tumbling down when the cake is cut.

Having made the cake, I was a little worried if it would hold itself till we reached Andheri. It was a Sunday, but also Gokulashtami on the same day. Everywhere Govindas were trying to reach their Makhan pot, and we were kind of blocked almost everywhere. However, the cake reached safe and sound. Yet to be sure, I clicked pictures of the cake before we left the house, ’coz ya know… ya never know!

Once at the venue, all the royalty took their places and the faces of the little girls lit up! Their smiles said it all! The little boy turned out to be more little-er than I thought… he was a nine-month old kiddo who was fast asleep, oblivious to his little avatar on the cake :D
