Made this wedding cake for a friend. The wife requested a purple motif for the cake, was happy that they let me decide on the design. I’ve always wanted to make these moth orchids so when I had the chance, i didn’t have second thoughts, had to improvised the petal veiners though as I don’t have orchids veiners. Made them really thin and had a lot of extra petals and centers to anticipate breaking during assemble time. I still can’t count though how many petals and centers have i broke when i was assembling them.

It’s my first piping job too… not so perfect but was glad I was able to overcome my fear of piping.
