The mother of four little girls came to me, and said three of them had birthdays the same week. One little girl would be 2, so she had a purple one made with chocolate devils food cake inside. One little girl would be 6, so she wanted the pink one with flowers with red velvet cake inside.
The third little girl would be 8, so her cake was the fresh coconut with BC icing and coconut covering the outside (and usually the top, but we needed to write the message, so I left the BC icing exposed on top), and also placed BC flowers around the perimeter of the coconut. I tinted the coconut light pink also.
These little girls were adorable, and when they came to pick up their cakes, the 6 year old, who was quite talkative, kept saying “Oh, thank you so much”! Now if that didn’t make my day, I don’t know what would! AND, I gave them all a little Barbie figurine for the top of the cakes. :)
