I made this cake for a co-worker as he is a big Star Wars fan.

I see all the wonderful original ideas that people on here come up with for their cakes which made me want to do something different from the “typical” Star Wars cake. I saw a Warhol inspired poster online & decided to use it as my inspiration. I know there are lots of Warhol themed cakes out there but I haven’t seen any other storm trooper ones so maybe I have an original? lol

The cake is vanilla bean cake with strawberry buttercream covered in fondant with fondant details. The storm troopers were created by using edible marker on colored fondant. I love the way they pop against the black & while simple in concept, I really like the finished product.

The text is meant to resemble the opening credits of the Star Wars movie although the largest text does not match the two smaller ones :-( because I didn’t have a mold with three different sizes in matching fonts.
