This is my ‘London Calling’ skyline cake but personalised for Alex and Simon. Simon proposed on Hammersmith Bridge and so they had a bridge theme to their reception. There were rules – they had to have walked across the bridge for it to count! They had some beautiful bridge illustrations made for their table names and I used the colours and font from these on the cake. Tower bridge, Hammersmith, Brooklyn, Ponte Vecchio, Pont Neuf, Golden Gate, Bridge of Sighs, Clifton & Lionsgate all made it on to the cake! A lot of fun for an ex-engineer to make.
