The bride came to me with a beach themed wedding – the colors would be a pale light blue with sea shells. I designed a cake that would have some movement on the front – with white chocolate molded shells and piped buttercream bubbles and coral. The cupcakes were iced in a pale blue buttercream and had three different toppers that determined the flavor of the cake and filling – starfish were chocolate with chocolate mousse, twisted shells were marble with strawberry filling and the fondant sand dollars were white cake with vanilla bavarian cream filling.
