The client was all about minimal decor, no color, and hated fondant. So we came up with this. Being that it was a baptism, I had to include some kind of religious decorative piece. I hand cut this cross, started off as a square, and then cut triangles. I then added sugar veil appliqué to give it some elegance. The only color was her sons first initial “A”, hand calligraphed- which worked rather nicely with the white and blue decor that she had for her guests. This was chocolate almond cake with vanilla bean buttercream.
