This was a cake made for a radio show I was a guest on this week. It’s the iconic BBC-Marconi Type A Microphone used in the ’20’s, 30’s and 40’s.

The cake is a take a Black Forest cake; German vanilla buttercream, with our own cherry and Kirsch compote and chocolate Genoise sponge.
