I’ll introduce myself I guess Im from Limerick in Ireland, now Living in Dorchester in the UK. I’m a trained ceramist but since kilns & clay take up more space than I can spare Cake-ing keeps my creative side from being forgotten!! so if you fancy browsing some of my work this is me :) https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sugar-Jules-Dorchester/534850806585391?fref=ts (right thats what you need to know about me now on to how I came to be here!!)
Well how often do you get to take part in something with other cakers doing things clients never order?
In my little cakey world not very often but this is now my second collabaration exhibit and I Love working with the amazing cake artists I’ve met!
When the lovely Miranda from Rocket cakes asked me if i’d like to take part in a twisted fairy tale project I was soooooo excited!! No one ever orders scary cakes from me and there was so much scope to develop ideas and I worked on and discarded several before I realised I want to do little red riding hood and I want to paint it on my cake !! I wanted to keep it simple, and instantly recognisable! So heres what I came up with!! Red riding hood, the wolf, the forest and the famous ’ what big eyes you have’ Dialogue!! I hope you like it as much as i liked making it!!
Love this!! Your painting is fantastic!
