Well . . . . here it is, not only my favourite design of the week but I think of all the cakes I have worked on this has to be right up there at the top!
This cake had me all of a tither and I literally shed tears in the making of it, not because it created stress but because of who the cake was for.
One of the most loveliest people I know and someone who i’m so proud to call a friend ordered a cake for her niece’s birthday . . . not emotional at all right? Wrong . . .
This cake was designed for the very gorgeous Isabel who’s mum Leanne passed away way too young almost a year ago, a person who before her illness was so full of oomph and get up and go she could burst!
I was told by Leanne’s Sister, that Isabel didn’t want any fuss but a ‘special’ cake was called for designed around her interest in all things Japanese . . . so here we have it complete with a Kokeshi Doll and little sprays of Madame Butterfly.
