Really enjoyed making this First Holy Communion cake. The brief was wide-open so I aimed for pretty, elegant and traditional. The design on the front is based on Evelyn’s pretty tiara and the lace & bow reflect the design of her gorgeous dress.
It’s a chocolate fudge cake filled with chocolate buttercream and covered with milk chocolate ganache. All the decoration is edible (apart from a stick to support the chalice and the lace).
