I was honoured to be part of a collaboration of international cake artists who came together to Honour those men and women who fought in WW1, but mainly those who fought at the Landing of Gallipoli 100 years ago this ANZAC Day 25th April 2015.

My collaboration piece is titled “The Spirit Lives” and is designed from the point of view of someone who remembers & would like others to remember. It is a tribute to the diggers…without whom there would be no ANZAC Day to celebrate. It is a celebration of their spirit (the crest), their dedication (the slouch hat) and their bravery (bottom tier)….the rising sun is a reminder that their spirit, dedication & bravery live on with the dawn of each new day. The Union Jack & the Southern Cross remind us of their patriotism & the poppies signify that we will remember them….forever!
