Belle Époque Easter Cake

For this Easter fake cake, I wanted to evoque a Belle Époque mood, with the typical luxury of this period and also more ancient times, such as Marie Antoinette feasts. To achieve that, the rabbits uses typical clothing and the cake, made in brown collored fondant, to simulate chocolate, is decorated with classic techniques, such as royal icing piping, sugar lace and classic themed pre-molded fondant, with touches of gold to corroborate with the rest of the cake. The easter eggs and the rabbits are made from an addapted recipe of rice crispies.

Para esse bolo fake de Páscoa, quis evocar um clima mais “Belle Époque”, com a suntuosidade característica desse período e de períodos anteriores da história, como os dos banquetes de Marie Antoinette. Para isso, os coelhos usam roupas de época e o bolo, todo em pasta simulando chocolate, leva detalhes de decoração clássica com glacê real, renda de açúcar e entalhes clássicos em pasta americana, complementados pelos toques de dourado que se sintonizam co essa época de muita riqueza e extravagâncias. Os ovos e coelhos são feitos de isopor comestível.
