I made these last May for my niece who is a HUGE Pride and Prejudice fan and an English Lit major. Always fun trying to make cakes in a home other than your own! I have traveled with suitcases of supplies and still never have all that I need! Things tend to go sideways at that point. :)
Anyways, these figures make me giggle when I see them… oh the wistful, prudent, close-eyed gaze of love.
The background was hand-painted, or “sponge” painted to be exact. :)
