My inspiration were the beautiful paintings of Kathe Fraga for this cake with a combination of wafer paper. The cake is all hand painted and the bottom tier is covered in wafer paper and then painted to look like watercolour. I love the end result even if it didn’t go down very well with the Judges at Cake International as they thought it had “bled.”
