I have been trying to get my daughter to get her hands in fondant for almost a year. She’s very creative. She’s in college to become a music teacher. This week she sat across the bench from me as I worked on a cake. I handed her some fondant and said, “Here, see what you can make”. She made the seal first. When I saw how decent the seal turned out, I asked her to make a turtle for me. I think she did pretty good for a first go!
1/4 sheet chocolate cake Buttercream icing with fondant figures.
Corrie from CorrieCakes, inspired me with all the beautiful sheet cakes she has been posting. Her quality work has challenged me to bump up my skills a notch. I tried very hard to keep my sides and borders straight on this cake. Corries are always so impeccably straight!
Psalm 127:1 Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.
Very nice ;)
