Inspired by the brides table decorations, this vintage birdcage wedding cake was in fact my first birdcage. The brides choice of theme and colours were somewhat at odds with each other as they were using a very deep ‘merlot’ colour in the majority of their wedding. To incorporate this I used the colour to fashion the birds and some of the filler flowers in the spray. Finished with a pearl lustre.
